Our Story
One Biosphere is an alliance of people and organizations who are united to preserve the quality of our global environment through our forum and publications, education, advocacy, research and communications among our members and partners.

Environmental Mission Statement
One Biosphere is committed to its role of environmental leadership in all facets of our environmental protection.  Our team fulfills this mission through our commitment to understanding environmental problems and developing and advocating innovative, flexible and sustainable solutions.  We strive to bring about long-term environmental equilibrium and balance.
We also recognize that fiscal responsibility is essential to our environmental future.  We work with businesses to instill environmental responsibility as a corporate value.  As rigorous environmental planners, we need to measure and monitor the progress for the range of environmental projects.  We work with and encourage a variety of members, partners and the public to share in our ecological mission.
The following are the primary objectives of the One Biosphere Environmental Forum:

  • To identify threats and opportunities to protect and/or enhance the ecology and natural resources of the U.S.
  • To explore potential courses of action to resolve our most pressing environmental problems and needs through communication among the Environmental Forum members and facilitating public input, dialogue, and debate through public forums and workshops.
  • To conduct research concerning environmental threats and opportunities so members, partners and the public can make informed choices about alternative courses of action to be taken to protect and/or enhance the natural resources of the U.S.
  • To motivate discussion, seek consensus on and advocate the implementation of appropriate ecological courses of action.
